Our 2025 harvest sold out. Thank you to everyone who brought a piece of our grove into their kitchen.
Pre-order price until November 2. From November 3, prices will go up: 2 × 1L will be $89, 3 × 1L will be $122 and the oil will ship in December.
This year, something new.
We start picking in the second half of October at our family grove between Trequanda and Pienza, in Tuscany. In the first few weeks after pressing, new oil is at its most alive: an amazing, grassy smell and a deep, intense flavour. Then it settles into the smoother texture and taste you know from us.
Until now, we've shipped our oil in bulk towards the end of November or early December, by which point that first intensity has softened. This year I want to try something different: bring some of that fresh, intense oil to your kitchen as early as possible.
We typically bottle the oil soon after pressing, just after the bulk of the sediments have settled, and we’ll ship the pre-orders right away, so that they reach your tables in the second half of November, less than a month after the oil is made.
A Leccino year
Every grove has its own rhythm, and this season most of our olives will come from our Leccino trees, a native Tuscan variety. It means a smaller harvest than usual, and an oil that is almost a monocultivar: a rare chance to taste one variety on its own. Picked as the olives begin to turn and pressed straight away, Leccino gives a fruity, fragrant oil; with this year's early shipping, you'll taste it at its freshest.
What the lab tells us
Every year we send our oil to ISVEA, an independent laboratory in Poggibonsi authorized by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture to certify olive oils. Two consecutive harvests came back well inside the strictest limits for extra virgin:
| 2024 | 2025 | EU limit for extra virgin | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free acidity | 0.16% | 0.26% | max 0.80% |
| Peroxides | 5.7 meq O₂/kg | 7.7 meq O₂/kg | max 20 |
| Total polyphenols | 463 mg/kg | 447 mg/kg | — |
Low acidity and low peroxides point to healthy fruit milled quickly. Polyphenols, behind the peppery finish of good oil, have stayed consistently high.
What you get: 2 × 1L or 3 × 1L of 2026 harvest extra virgin olive oil, shipped as soon as it's bottled, shortly after pressing. US shipping included.
FAQ
- When will it arrive? We aim for the second half of November. Customs timing is outside our control, but historically I have found that smaller shipments get processed fast; we'll keep you updated on the various steps between bottling and getting it to your door.
- When am I charged? At checkout.
- Will the price go up? Yes. The pre-order price applies until November 2. From November 3: 2 × 1L $89, 3 × 1L $122 and delivery of all non-pre-order bottles will happen sometime in December
- Where is it from? Our family grove between Pienza and Trequanda in Tuscany, Italy.
- What is Leccino? A traditional Tuscan olive variety. This year it makes up most of our harvest, so the oil is almost a Monocultivar, a single-variety oil.
- Why does fresh oil taste different? In the first weeks after pressing, oil is more aromatic and intense; it slightly mellows over the following months.
